Esteemed Advisors and Delegates,
It is my honor to formally invite you to the 8th annual session of the Long Beach Intercollegiate Model United Nations Conference (LBIMUN) on March 9th & 10th 2019 at California State University, Long Beach.
Launched in March of 2011 as an intercollegiate conference, LBIMUN has continuously grown over the years. Throughout our years of hosting this conference, we’ve continuously prided ourselves in promoting diplomacy and the exponential learning aspect of the United Nations. With each new session of the conference, we strive to improve the delegate experience through new and innovative ideas. For the past 4 years, LBIMUN has served as a great conference for delegates to prepare for NMUN-New York. To better prepare delegates for conference, this year we're proud to announce our first two-day conference. This allows us to provide more time for delegates to focus on committee, rather than rush through committee in hopes of turning in a paper on time. Rather than focus on the competitive side of MUN, we wish to inspire a new generation of international problem-solvers and critical thinkers, as well as embrace our conference theme "Innovation through Negotiation."
Along with this letter, you can find additional information regarding our conference by navigating through our website, csulbmun.com/lbi, which will be updated continuously. Registration will be available on our website beginning on November 6th, 2018. If you have any questions or would like information, please contact us at the email listed below.
We invite you all to inspire a new generation of critical thinkers with us this coming spring. Thank you for supporting our conference, and we hope to see you at LBIMUN IX!
