Silvia Kirollos, President
Silvia is in her last year at California State University, Long Beach as a double major in Political Science & International Studies. She currently volunteers at the Torrance Self-Help Center as part of JusticeCorps, an AmericaCorps organization. Having been part of Model United Nations since she was a freshman in college, she has chaired conferences multiple times, & participated in NTUMUN in Singapore. Marcus Gerstein, Vice President Internal
Marcus is a junior at CSULB majoring in History and minoring in Italian. Politics has always been a passion of his, and something he greatly enjoys pursuing inside and outside of the organization. Born in Taiwan, then later moved to Italy, and now lives in San Francisco (when not at CSULB). He has a very large affinity for baseball, especially the SF Giants and Long Beach State Dirtbags.
Bianca Salgado, Vice President External
Bianca is a Senior majoring in Political Science with an emphasis on Global Politics & is pursuing a minor in Philosophy. She is a product of Downey High School's class of 2013. Before attending CSULB, Bianca began her college journey in August of 2013 at Cerritos Community College in Norwalk - where she spent 3 years to receive her A.A. in Political Science in May 2016. During Spring 2014, as a freshman she started her MUN career - from learning the ropes of what MUN is & gaining experience helped her to receive a Best Resolution award at LAMUN's Spring 2015 conference where she & a colleague represented in a dual-delegation as the Maldives discussing on the topic of Maternal Health in the General Assembly committee. While involved at CCMUN - Bianca participated in LBIMUN, SBIMUN, SDIMUN, & LAMUN - & was Chair twice (with no training beforehand) on-campus for POL 250 (Theory & Practice of the UN) students in an hour-long simulation of an actual MUN committee session. She has held various leadership positions including being President during her last year at Cerritos College. Now in her second year at LBSUMUN, Bianca has participated with the LBSUMUN delegation at SoCalMUN, SBIMUN, & recently Model Knesset. This past LBIMUN, Bianca was a Co-Chair for the Suez Crisis Committee. She is also involved in United Nations Association of the USA as a GenUN individual & has visited the UN Headquarters for their Members' Day event in February & in the early summer, Bianca attended their Leadership Summit conference in Washington, D.C. to urge members of Congress to fully fund the UN. Bianca is also currently the Team Lead of Testimony for an NGO called "World for Refugees" under their UN Liaison project. Jose F. Urias, Treasurer
Jose F. Urias is a third-year double majoring in Political Science with a focus in Global Politics & Communication Studies. A Guatemala native, he immigrated to the United States at the age of eight. His migration story drives his passion for both politics and human communication. He has participated twice at North-West Model United Nations in Portland, & was a part of the National Model United Nations New York delegation which won Distinguished Delegation. He is pleased to serve in this year's E-board & help others develop skills that will impact them in the world outside of MUN.
Austin Taylor , Membership Coordinator
Austin Taylor is a International Studies major at California State University, Long Beach. He loves learning about different countries and peoples' from around the world. Through the LBSUMUN delegation, Austin has been to 15 Model UN conferences and has won awards at both Far West MUN and National Model United Nations in New York.
Andrew Castillou, Secretary General
Andrew Castillou is a Senior majoring in History & minoring in Political Science. He previously attended San Joaquin Delta College before transferring to California State University, Long Beach. While at Delta College, Andrew was a member of the golf teaming during the Spring 2015 semester. Originally from Linden, a small town east of Stockton, he was active in the Future Farmers of America (FFA) & through this organization developed his public speaking skills. This is Andrew's first year as a Model United Nation's delegate & he has participated in two conferences thus far. Andrew is looking forward to the coming year and running Model Knesset, & LBIMUN!

Daniella Hernandez, Secretary
Daniella Hernandez is majoring in Political Science with a concentration in Global Politics. She is also minoring in Chinese. This is Daniella's second year with the Model United Nations organization. She wanted to join MUN to exercise her love for politics and gain more valuable skills like public speaking and to connect with people who are also interested in seeing this world become a better place. Daniella has participated in SoCalMUN twice, North-West Model United Nations in Portland, as well as LBIMUN. She hopes to intern in Washington, D.C. before graduating. Her goal is to work in an embassy or non-profit organization in the future!
